Welcome to Shooting the West! We are a photography symposium, with distinguished presenters in many different photographic fields. Past speakers have included such notables as Galen Rowell, William Allard, Annie Griffiths Belt, and John Shaw. Throw in participant shows, juried contests, vendors like Epson and Nikon, portfolio reviews, great Basque food and lots of Winnemucca style fun… and you have a pretty good idea what the event is all about.
We've just completed our 20th Anniversary event — it was a great party! We'll be putting the 2009 program together over the next few months, so be sure to check back starting about September. In the meantime, navigating the 2008 Event links above will give you a good feel for how the event runs.
